Chilled sort of dance thing..

US2K Review: (Original J-Jay review) I really hate making bad comments about ANY mix I get sent in, but after listening to this one twice, I don't want to hear it again, not ever...!!! It's an assault on the ears, and the sound it produces is just awful to me I'm afraid... Sorry Marc, but I wouldn't call it a dance thing of any description... The score is being generous by the way, and if Marc likes it because he made it for himself, then great...

Hi John, How's it going M8.? Long time no speak - I've been busy as always, and have been busy producing a few new tracks too. One new one I thought you'd be interested in is my DE6 produced track Do Angels Dance ? I've been a little neglectful lately so I've produced an edited version of it for upload to your fantastic site as I see you now take DE6 mixes. Do Angels Dance? (You're Not Alone - Edit Mix) - is produced totally with DE6 samples it's 3:36mins at 140bpm. It's a chilled out simplistic trance/dance little number, featuring tinkly pianos, female vox, and upbeat rhythms with a laid back feel. I've utilised some of the fx in the prog like chorus reverb and eq settings etc, that I trust work all o.k. when folks download it. (I ain't tried any downloads recently from your place - sorry M8). I've enclosed the Edit mix as DE6 mix file. Hope you like. Best wishes M8, will be in touch soon with all me personal gossip 'n' stuff M8. Regards to the Missus too, Clive, aka Spyda.

US2K Review: (Original JJ REview) Getting good comments and scores over at mp3unsigned, this mix from Clive I found more an ambient little chiller rather than a trance/dance type tune... Good little clappy beat which leads you gently into the tune, building into the piano sequences, and vox samples which for me, where too tucked away into the background and would have sounded better at a higher volume... The flow of the tune is good, and the crossoevers into the sequences are smooth as silk, and the whole thing is just sooooo relaxing...

(US2K says) It is beautiful I would have given it 9 out of 10. There is a bit near the end that does not sound as smooth as the rest which prevents a ten. it is an excellent mellow listen though, and it' s title is so fitting with the Christmas season.

For the other DJ's on this site. Some are M8's of mine. The song has no added materials from other songs. It's 100% mine, all mine. I have done this song, and made it a bit o.k. I think. Not sure if it's good, but a few people find it to be cool so there you go. Later John

US2K Review: (Original JJ Review) A more upbeat mix from Michael this time, with a bit of pace and hit to it... After a few listens, what becomes fairly clear is the overwhelming kicks used in the tune which tend to overpower everything else in the other layers of sound, which is fine if you like your drums loud, but you should also be able to hear what else is going on in there... There is some good little sequences in here where the ambient balance is better, especially in the second part of the tune, and the outro is neatly done as well. Using the dropbeat is a good idea, and it goes well with the tinkly piano, but not the the vocals, as they are a bit too high a pitch in this tune... At least it's a novel idea and quite original...

Bass Mom & Dj CrusadeReview: DIGGING THE INTRO HERE MAX!!! This has a very serious club sound to it!! Who is doing the vocal?? vocals work very well with this track and all synths and drums are spot on, I may have some injuries but I could not help but to dance to this track!!! the breaks are in the right places and the overall quality of this mix gets a solid 10 from me for originality, production, and the master qualities are superb!!!!!!!

US2K Review: (Original JJ review) Interesting concoction of samples used in this excellent (re)mix from Steve... Make no mistake, this is a big tune, with a big sound, which leads in with a very industrious big drum intro, which is just a precedence to a fairly laid back trancey orientated tune... It seems to take an age to get into it's stride, and the earlier sequences may be a bit too slow for some, before it picks up a bit just after the three and a half minute mark, which, with the synths and vocals hitting in together is the best part of this one for me personally. This is a good tune which I liked, and now it's had the Max-Motion touch added to it as well, I have no doubt most people who get it will like it as well, but it might be a touch too much chilled down for some..??? The whole thing generally runs seamlessy from start to end, and the sequences I found interacted across each other superbly.

US2K Review: (Original Max Motion Review) This track is short of 2 things, depth and length. It starts with a really nice drum build up, but once it reaches the breakdown and the main synth comes in, at around 1min 27sec, it lasts less than a minute before we are back to the drums, and the tune finishes at around 2min 50sec. Some generator work put in for the bass and some drums, but there is no use of keys to gel this tune together. This tune needs more work putting into it. An extended remix is badly needed with this tune!!. Steve.

Finally. I've managed to get it working... and I've come up with these. Regards, Robert.

US2K Review: (Original JJ Review) Rob's first delve into the realms of the de6 format is a hyper speed dancey sort of trance mix. The tune lead-in is really sharpish, and apart from the downbeat breaks which have been dropped in to add a change of sequence and slow it down a bit, this one belter of a tune which just blasts along from one end to the other... The outro is done better than the intro, but it's still a good first tune at this format... Once into it's stride, this is quite an uplifting tune...
(US2K Says) It was good but I think although I have tweaked the mp3 master to make it sound more atmospheric, it may still sound dated now. My score would be 7 out of 10.

Been mixin' this one for over 3 weeks, hope it's been worth the trouble. :)

US2K Review: (Original JJ Review) There's so many different sounds and ideas coming through on this one, I think Steve has invented a new format...??? It's a Folksy / Line dancing / Rave / Techno format... lol... It's strange how different noises and sounds conjure up different images in the old grey matter when your'e listening... I have no doubt that anyone who listens to this, will go on their own "journey" because it's that kind of tune...!!! Some parts of this tune are outstanding, and I could listen to the sequence from 3:40 - 4:20mins all day, which is especially haunting and melodic, (this alone gets it a T.T slot...)and yet other parts are mediocre, like the squeeky 20 second intro... Could be me looking for Top Twenty quality again from Steve, because of the extremely high standards he sets himself..??? Overall though, this is another piece of Steve's imagination running wild, and it's still worth a place on anyone's hard drive...
US2K Says- this is one of Max Motions Very Early Productions but it is a Still an Excellent Listen now!

US2K Review: (Original JJ Review) I found the mp3 version of this track, over at Matt's ejay.com artists page by a pure fluke, and although the converter over there generally produces very disappointing results, this first submission from him is actually not too bad a quality for a change, so that made a fairly good impression straight away... Labelled as a "hard house" tune, and "a bit mad really" sums it up fairly well... This tune certainly goes at some pace, and is certainly a bit different from the norm, that you tend to associate with the ejay dance programmes. A fast bassline tune, with some faster, bleepy synths to offset, and it just breaks in and out of the main theme with some precise hits and fades as well... Different, original, and very creative, and for a first mix submission, most definitely worth a few plays..

(US2K Says) Now the mix is a little dated just like some of mine can be lol. 2011 Score of 7 out of 10. Still well worth a play or two.

Hi John, hope things are ok. Got a new one for ya'. Again, a bit different to the others. Very trancey, electro, oh I dunno where am goin' with my interpretation. Let me know what ya' think. Thanx, Matt

Bass Mom & Dj CrusadeReview: This is this reviewers first time ever listening to this artist and I like what I am hearing it has a sweet melodic intro that builds into a bigger "boom" style dance mix!! I will admit there are some fantastic artists out here in this world and I have the pleasure of knowing some of them however this artist has a way with producing a solid dance track that would have the club scene dancing all night! I give this artist a solid 10 for creativity and production very well put together and fades out well at the outro all synths are blended and work well with the overall mix!

US2K Review: (Original JJ Review)When this first started playing, I thought my ears were playing me up, or that I had got my files muddled up... lol... The intro is very similar to a mix which I recently heard, but it's there that the similarity does end, I hasten to add... Must be the de6 samples, apparently of which there isn't that many I've heard...??? Matt reckons this is a tune to listen to after a good night out, hence the title no doubt, and I think that sums it up amicably... Or maybe the opposite, and something to lead you up to a good night out...??? Either way, it's an easy-on-the-ears type tune, and for me it's a little too samey throught, but nonetheless a good little ambient chiller...

(Comments by US2K) Dont let the bpm fool you this is excellently mellow. John is right though the mix is too repetitive to score higher than an 8.
