Dance Ejay 5 Mixes.   Go to Music Search

The mixes on this page are used with the 5 programme. If any of the mixes contain any samples from the other EJay programmes then you will not be able to hear the full mix unless you have these programmes as well... The mixes are all zipped, because they are faster for you to download. If a mix has any "imported" or "tweeked" samples, they are normally saved into the mix, but it makes the file size much larger. Any message or text that you want to send with your mix will be added as well, unless stated otherwise..

Please note right mouse clicking the download buttons on this page and choosing save as will not work as they are only links to the actual download page in order for downloads to be counted.

Hi J-Jay. Have just upgraded to DE5. It's a fantastic program. Great samples, more mellow than previous versions. This is my first mix written on only 8 tracks (like in the old days!) It contains basic samples, and is 3.33 long 140bpm. You really should get it m8, you don't know what u r missing. Cheers for now, EJ Wizzman. Alas, the original Bad Boy is lost in the ether. Here's it's reincarnation, a lot different from BB1...

Webmaster Review: (Historic JJ Review) Steve's first venture into the realms of the de5 programme, sounds a little too impromptu and jumpy to be anything impressive... There is little snare hits/rolls that creep out of nowhere cutting into nothing, and the alternating leads also seem to just appear as well, and there is also lots of volume level glitches in the samples and tracks... The timing is out of sync as well, and the whole thing really lacks any continuity at all... A tune should try to 'hook' you somewhere, with something, at sometime, and this didn't... Sounds a bit of a rush job...??? Just not my cup of tea m8... sorry...

Hi John! Here's a new DE5 song. My second one so far... I also uploaded it to ejay.com... The info 'bout the mix is there also...Hope Ya like it;) Roar.

Webmaster Review: (Historic JJ Review)A bit of a jazzy sounding tune this one... Some of the samples sound really hazy in the first part of the tune, but this tends to be overidden when the voxed vocals cut in... Gets better as the tune progresses, sounding very much like a Cher song... The vocals in the DE5 programme sound the best yet, but to me, the distortion coming through in the samples in this mix tended to put me off a little... Maybe that was what Roar was trying to create here, but as a mix, it doesn't quite come off...

Just something quick I put together. I will come up with something a lot better as soon as I get more time.

Webmaster Review: ( Historic JJ Review) A slow ponderous track that fails to grab your attention. Structure is poor, and the middle keyboard section has all the appeal of an alarm clock at three in the morning! A poor offering that needs some serious reworking.

Simple dance track

Webmaster Review: An uncomplicated tune as Peter says, and apart from the synth's, this has quite a samba-rish, latinesque beat and feel to it... I think the title is very apt as well, because that's the sort of image it conjures up... Good little foot-tapper, but sounds a little monotone in it's entirety, and by that I mean all the samples are the sample volume level, apart from the faded out ending which is a bit jumpy if you listen carefully... It's a listenable tune, but maybe needed more beat variation dropped in, or some extra layers of sound adding at different volume levels to give it more depth...

Hello to you, Master of mixes... I send you my last two tracks made with Dance Ejay 5. I am still having problems with it, but it seems that the more I use it, the less buggy it becomes. Anyway, let me explain a bit about the mix (Wen) redro Just plain techno, nothing too sophisticated. I tried to balance all the instruments volume right, so the track sounds as I want it to. PS If you listen to the beats, you'll understand why it has such a strange name(inversed). As usual, if you have some time to spare and give your opinion, comment about it. Dizzy.

Webmaster Review: (Historic JJ Review) Strangely deceptive tune this, because it leads in fairly quietly, with no idea of the heavy stuff which is to follow... The tune is nicely layered and balanced, and it's quite addictive as well...!!! The mixed vocals at roundabout the 3min mark, might be a wee bit too repetitive for some, but there is good variation throughout the rest of it, and it carries itself off well... The little key crescendo doesn't fit this tune at all, and could actually be dropped...??? Overall though, this is definitely one of Dizzy's best efforts, and only just misses out on a Top Twenty slot... Good stuff, this "New Order"...
